Nearing completion at HHC

We were delighted to host a visit by Watford Borough Council to the Hemel Hempstead Crematorium project, which is nearing completion.

The project is a valuable addition to the local community, featuring an impressive design that incorporates glulam, masonry, and timber cladding, as well as thoughtful landscaping that ensures privacy for funeral attendees. The development is further enhanced by sculptured earthworks and planting that promote biodiversity and contribute to a visually appealing environment.

The single-storey building will boast a spacious chapel capable of accommodating up to 139 people, along with various supporting facilities such as congregation, crematory, administration, and staff spaces. In addition to the main building, the development will include a separate pavilion that will provide memorial facilities.

The entire site is being meticulously landscaped to create a peaceful and serene environment for mourners. This includes ample car parking, beautifully manicured memorial gardens, carefully tended woodland areas, and expansive meadows of long grass with mown grass paths. The entrance forecourt to the crematorium has been thoughtfully designed with hard landscaping features to create a welcoming and dignified entryway.
