Colin Moorcroft, our Health & Safety Manager is an active member of the IOSH Thames Valley branch. His dedication to improving safety standards is a great example of how IOSH supports its members.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has branches all over the world, run by member volunteers. These branches help IOSH connect with local health and safety communities. IOSH also has 18 special groups for different industries, bringing together people with similar interests.
Why Join IOSH?
Being part of IOSH means connecting with other safety professionals, no matter where you are in your career. It’s a great way to stay updated on what's happening in your area and industry, and to get support and development opportunities.
Branch Activities
Last night (20th May), our Thames Valley branch met at the University of Reading. We shared ideas and heard the latest news about improvements in Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPs). Events like this help everyone build their skills and knowledge.
We also enjoyed a professional presentation and a hands-on demo on how to inspect and use a MEWP, given by an industry-leading supplier.
