Buxton Building Contractors Limited is delighted to be awarded the project to refurbish Duke Street Church's auditorium in Richmond-upon-Thames. We are looking forward to starting on site early next month and providing an improved place of worship and legacy for both the congregation and community of Richmond-upon-Thames.
With a strong history of completing similar “live” Church projects in London and the South East, we will be keeping the remainder of the building fully operational during the work.
The improved auditorium facility will benefit from new M & E services providing improved heating and ventilation systems, provision for stage lighting and AV Systems, new focal wall to front of the auditorium, new stage including alterations/refurbishment to the baptistery bath as well as replacement audience seating to the gallery level.
We are also carefully carrying out remedial works to the external facade with replacement windows/curtain walling complete with acoustic ventilation units as well as replacement roof structure and coverings. These works will require the installation of a temporary roof structure to maintain weathering of the Auditorium plus the occupied Community Area, Kitchen & Facilities within the lower ground floor area.
