Apprenticeship Site Rotation

As part of my five-year apprenticeship at Buxton’s, I am currently completing my 6-month site rotation to gain valuable on-site experience at one of our construction projects.

Working on a live project has provided me with a hands-on opportunity to learn so much more about construction than I would have from university or the office. Seeing the project develop from the start to completion has given me real-life experience and knowledge that I can apply to my future career.

Being involved in the day-to-day running of the site allows me to constantly learn from the site teams. Watching the project progress from drawings to physical components has significantly boosted my understanding.

Although it felt quite daunting at first, I am really enjoying and benefiting from this site experience.

My confidence in the industry has grown massively, and I am excited to continue developing my career in construction.
