Works are continuing at Canterbury Cathedral, with roofing to the new WELCOME CENTRE well underway and good progress being made with the external works.
Winter 18
Meanwhile archaeologists and ground workers are continuing to progress works on the precincts, new bonded York stone paving and iron-works are currently being set, whilst at the same time allowing safe access to the Cathedral for the public.
The new WELCOME CENTRE has been sensitively designed to complement the Cathedral and will provide information, ticketing services and a shop with a free to enter Viewing Gallery which will offer stunning views of the Cathedral.
The essential work is possible thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant and the generosity of trusts and individuals and The Friends of Canterbury Cathedral.
