Buxton Bear surveys the extensive Scaffold at Guildford Cathedral where Buxton have just commenced works on the internal refurbishment works at the People’s Cathedral in Guildford.
The works consist of removing acoustic plaster to the vaulted ceilings and the re-decoration of the ceilings once completed.
The decoration of the existing lime plaster walls will also be undertaken at the same time with the existing Ashlar stone being cleaned also. A platform lift and ramp will be constructed outside the existing North East entrance, with a further ramp being construction to the west entrance.
