Buxton has been appointed for the new Penge Medical Centre development. The new centre is a much needed primary care facility within Penge and will accommodate two General Practice surgeries, a pharmacy and provide clinical/ treatment rooms offering high quality facilities which deliver the range and quality of care that is required of a 21st Century NHS.

The works comprise demolishing an existing Victorian building with the existing stonework detailing and motifs being retained and incorporated within the new façade, followed by the construction of a 3 storey steel frame, composite slabs, SFS infill frame and traditional brick and stone work building. The internal fit-out comprises specialist treatment and consulting rooms, admin areas and a large open plan waiting area with feature roof light. The scheme must achieve BREEAM Healthcare excellent rating and comply with NHS Technical Standards.
