The Watts Studio officially opens today, we are delighted to have been involved in this prestigious project.
The National Lottery Heritage funded project aims to restore and transform public access to the Grade II listed building and grounds.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the works included the conservation, refurbishment, extension and repair of this grade II listed building, providing careful and sympathetic refurbishment of the Studios, the character of which is crucial to the historic integrity of the Building. The ‘West Wing’ of the house remained occupied and the centre portion ‘the House’ was open to the public for tours throughout the duration of the Contract. Also working on this project is Focus Consultants whom Buxton are also collaborating with at Rochester Cathedral.
