Marylebone High Street

We are delighted to have completed and handed over four luxury apartments at 4-5 Marylebone High Street for Howard de Walden Estates.

The redevelopment involved the significant structural alterations and refurbishment of the existing building, including adding a fourth floor under a new mansard roof and forming new roof dormers to provide high specification residential accommodation accessed via a communal staircase and entrance on New Cavendish Street.

The site comprised three adjoining buildings on a busy high street location and on the corner of one of the busiest high streets in London. All neighbouring retailers and businesses remained open and fully operational throughout the project including a busy Barclays Bank directly beneath the entire footprint of the site.

This provided significant challenges for access and site logistics and constant liaison was required with the local community. Whilst site cleanliness and health and safety are of paramount importance on all projects, careful planning and consideration regarding methodology were particularly important here. Considerate Constructors scored the site team Very Good for Respecting the Community, Protecting the Environment and Securing Everyone’s Safety. Despite the constraints the project was completed on time and to a high standard.
